This bit of the website is for kids. Some of it you might read with a grown-up, some of it on your own. A few of the sheets are about feelings, a few are about school, and a few are about the kind of stuff that can be hard to say out loud. You don't have to read all of it. Just find the one that looks a bit like your life.
What is Autism?
Autism is a word for a brain that works in its own special way. If you are autistic, your brain notices things that other brains might miss. It can love patterns, deep interests, fairness, and routines that feel just right. Being autistic isn’t an illness, and it isn’t something to fix. It’s part of who you are, just like the colour of your eyes or the sound of your laugh.
