Karra is a Registered Psychologist who studied in both Victoria and Tasmania as part of her pathway to registration. Before entering psychology, she worked in a range of roles that helped shape her warm, grounded and flexible approach to supporting others.
Karra previously worked as a school wellbeing officer, supporting young people experiencing emotional distress, social difficulties and challenges engaging with school and relationships. Her honours research explored online peer support for parents, reflecting her strong belief in the importance of connection and community.
Karra believes that every person’s experiences and circumstances are unique, and she works collaboratively with clients to support meaningful and sustainable change. She primarily draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), while also integrating strategies from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) to tailor therapy to each client’s needs.
Originally from Gippsland, Karra has also travelled extensively and worked overseas, experiences that deepened her appreciation for different cultures and perspectives. She is now relocating to Melbourne and looks forward to supporting the wellbeing of individuals, young people and families within the local community.
