Salva is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and Clinical Family Therapist. She has a strong interest in treating trauma, PTSD, complex trauma using evidence-based interventions including EMDR therapy. With over 20 years of experience in public and private mental health she brings extensive expertise from working with diverse populations including young people with psychosis, aged persons, and survivors of family violence and sexual assault.
Salva works with adults, children and families and brings a compassionate understanding of parenting of neurodiverse children and working with neurodiverse adults. She draws from multiple therapeutic approaches including EMDR (Level 1 & 2), Family Therapy, Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Polyvagal Therory and Internal Family Systems.
Salva provides comprehensive support for clients dealing with trauma, mental health challenges and family dynamics, while maintaining professional memberships with the Australian Association of Social Workers and EMDR Association of Australia.
Salva is excited to be developing additional clinical skills in Relational Integrative EMDR in September.
